To be more clear: I am 20 years old and live in California. In California, you have to be 21 to be a bartender and serve alcohol. So I'm underage to serve alcohol here, however I want to go to Bartending school and take bartending classes. Do I have to be 21 to enroll in bartending school? or can I be underage in school?Can you take Bartending school to learn, even if you are too young to serve alcohol in that state?
Bartending schools will hate me, but please save your money! No one is going to hire you as a bartender fresh out of school. You're either going to be hired as a barback or a cocktail waitress, depending on whether you're a girl or a guy. Then, if you have a cool bartender, you can ask them to work with you. Most are more than happy to share their knowledge. Wouldn't you rather be getting paid while you learn?Can you take Bartending school to learn, even if you are too young to serve alcohol in that state?
yes you can be 20, call or contact the school. They dont use real alcohol. Its actually just colored water, but dont expact to get a job....I mean even when you do turn 21, you will still be looked upon as inexperienced.......call the school you want to go to and ask them
