The teacher at bartending school said black pants and a white shirt to the interview. Is there any type of bar where you will not get hired for showing up in this?What should be worn to a bartending job interview? And what can you expect to wear after your hired?
Most employers will look at your clothing which should always be professional dress no matter what job while being at an interview. As long as you are wearing clean dress pants and a nice shirt, your body and hair are clean. ( do not wear a lot of perfume as it makes you look cheap) Carry yourself with confidence but not cockyness. Relax.... you will do fine.What should be worn to a bartending job interview? high end bars with richer clientele expect black pants and white shirt, but more relaxed atmosphere bars would be fine with nice jeans and shirt. go to the bar you think you'd like to work at (or all the ones) and see how they are dressed before your interview.
