Should i got to bartending school in las vegas?

i am goin to move there in a few months or so, and i already went to bartending school in hawaii. but job opportunities here are slim to none.....i know its like that everywhere, but its gotten to the point that customer service is not even worth applying for. its always by from who you know. i went to abc bartending school and although i learned a lot i was wondering if casinos or simple pubs accept graduate students. what are the requirements? ill start off as a bar back just as long as i get into the bar setting.Should i got to bartending school in las vegas?
no. a lifetime in hospitality and several friends own bars. i totally agree with corvato. you waste your money. it's kind of a scam. there is no way i would hire you fresh out of some class as anything but bar back. i don't know anyone that would. you can learn the drink recipes quickly. buy an old mr. boston bar guide and read it. search the hot new drinks online.

what you really need to do is to learn how to work in a bar environment. there is only one way to do that. it's one thing to learn a few drink recipes, it is something else again to keep a dozen drink orders in your mind while a bunch of intoxicated people are talking to you, there is trouble on the floor, wait staff are letting their orders pile up or demanding them right now. and on and on...

get a bar back job. save yourself an outrageous fee for a usless class.Should i got to bartending school in las vegas?

i would do it you might learn more and just in case you would need it from thereShould i got to bartending school in las vegas?
YES
I will tell you as what has been said time and time again on Bartending Schools... they are a waste of money

bartending schools: $500+ to learn what you will learn on the job anyway. and you still will likely start as a barback and have to work your way up

you can be hired off the bat as a barback and learn what you need and the become a bar tender anyway.

if you can't multitask by clearing dishes and preparing stuff for the bar tender AND pay attention to names and preperations the bar tender is doing... likely you won't be able to handle bar tending anyway, which is VERY heavy in multitasking.
