Listen to Shelly K...

She hit the nail on the head.

Bartending schools are a scam, start as a barback.Bartending school in NJ?
Authentic Bartending School of NJ takes students at the age of 18. Yes you can start at a "dive bar" and try to work your way up, but it is unlikely with that kind of resume. Bartending schools certify you, you practice in a real bar with real customers for top quality experience.

You don't need a license to bartend, but you do have to be 21. Don't waste your money on a "bartending school." If you want to bartend, start off at a dive bar and go from there. Yes, it is good money, but I wouldn't plan on doing it forever. It does get to be a drag, and it is very unstable work. They are always hiring because they are always firing. Don't look in the paper, just go to the bar.Bartending school in NJ?
