get a job in a restaurant now and you'll have a better chance of getting a bartending job when you're 21. two years experience in the business is more valuable than any bartender school diploma. bartending 'certification' is generally useless and a waste of money. experience (or being a hot female) is what gets you a good bartending job.

In Pa you only need to be 18 to bartend but 21 to drink. So i guess it depends on your state laws.
