In OKLA and North Carolina (i've lived both places) bartending school is not required to get a license. just apply for one %26amp; pass a background check (felonies %26amp; drug/alcohol-related charges will get you denied). Buy a book or search the web to learn about what's behind a good bar (whiskeys, scotches, vodkas, bourbons, gins tequilas, liquers %26amp; mixers/fillers/dressers...PRICING %26amp; BRANDS VARY BY BAR but are categorized like so: well, call, topshelf %26amp; premium) --honestly, and many a bartender will agree, bartending school is a waste of money. Mixology mastering comes with time spent behind the bar. start as a barback maybe, watch ur bartenders...ask questions. *Good Luck in you Bartending Exp.
