You should probably try and get a bartending gig somewhere first. Schools are fine for some people, but you get no real experience and there are tons of things you need to learn in the field.
Plus, you'll get paid, rather than spending $500+ on a class that won't teach you much more than recipes and techniques.
Good luck.I am trying to open a bar. Does anyone know how much bartending school costs?
i dont rlly think there is much to lern except different bevrages, and how to put the drink in the cup. lol. srry about that, but it seems trueI am trying to open a bar. Does anyone know how much bartending school costs?
If you're considering opening a bar and your just now talking about going to BT school, you're probably going to be in way over your head.
If you're just going to open a little neighborhood joint, you don't need school, you just need some money and a couple of seasoned bartenders. They'll teach you all you need to know.
If you're going to open up a club or something like that, well, you're going to need several years of working in that type of environment first. the best way to go is start somewhere as a Bar-Back, they're the ones that help the Bar Tenders. You'll learn more from them then you would at any school. Just buy yourself a bar tending book like Mr. Boston: Official Bartender's %26amp; Party Guide. Everything you need to know to get started in mixology is right in that book.I am trying to open a bar. Does anyone know how much bartending school costs?
yea idk if bartending school is the first place to look. The bartenders that you will have work there should have that part down, unless that is you also. But, I do know that for your bar to be successful, you need to have good food. So focus on making great recipes before you make great drink mixtures.
