I'm wondering from peoples experiences, and known reputation which bartending school in Vancouver B.C. is the best?
Also, do you have to be 19 to take the course, or can you get certified and then once your 19 start working?BEAT BARTENDING SCHOOL IN VANCOUVER?
I completely agree with Goodtime. I live and have worked in the industry in Vancouver. Bars/ Lounges/ Restaurants they all want to train you the way they make drinks. All you need to do is show that you are willing and able to learn and work hard and you will work your way up quickly. Also, don't go to a huge bar or club and expect to be hired on as bartender right away, like most jobs in any industry you need to work your way up. If you prove yourself quickly enough you'll be bartending in no time. Do not spend the money on bartending school. that being said, your serving it right is a necessity. If you don't believe me go apply for a few jobs and ask them in the interview what their thoughts are on bartending school I guarantee you they will all say the same thing.BEAT BARTENDING SCHOOL IN VANCOUVER?
listen to me. DO NOT GO TO BARTENDING SCHOOL. it is a scam. i speak from personal experience i payed 700 dollars to be a certified mixologist and when i went to get a job i still had to start out barbacking. nobody cares if your certified all bars do things differently and want you to be trained by them. they actually made fun of me in the industry when i first started out because i fell for it. i have worked at over ten bars now and not one of them care about a certification. your best bet especially due to your age is to get a barback spot in a bar you like and work your way up it doesnt take long and youll make more money in the long run.
