Is it worth to have a bartending certificate to get a bartending job?

bartending school is a total waste of money. no bars will hire you based on that.



they will make you work your way up usually. so you're better off just going in off the street. you'd have the same chances of getting hired than if you went to bartending school.

I went to bartending school but it didn't get me behind the bar any faster. A lot of places hire from within and/or make you earn your spot by serving tables first. I will say that it did help to learn all the drinks though. It made being under the pressure cooker go a bit smoother.Bartending school worth it?
