Can someone tell me about bartending school?

I am starting next week and I was wondering is it hard? Do you have to study a lot?Can someone tell me about bartending school?
Bartending school will teach you the basics of tending bar, know what goes in certain drinks and maybe teach you how to flip bottles around. That and experience can get you a job as a bartender. Just the schooling alone will probably not get you very far.



It's a sad truth, but most places will only hire a person with previous bar experience which can include waitstaff and barbacks.Can someone tell me about bartending school?

The difficulty depends on the student:) If you are familiar with mixed drinks already, or are able to memorize things quickly, then it should be a blast. Best way to study is to make and taste the drinks. Unfortunately bar tending school doesn't teach you the most difficult aspects of bar tending (keeping tabs straight, time management, dealing with overly drunk customers, etc). From my experience restaurants and bars prefer to hire people with on the job training rather than bar tending school.Can someone tell me about bartending school?
Your better off becoming a bar back, You will get paid learn the trade become a bartender and you will get to learn the business, And Yes it is a real and fun job, And you can make decent money....
