Should I go to bartending school?

I live in toronto and the legal age to serve is 18 but the legal age to drink is 19. I wanted to sign up for bartending school but i am having mix feelings between all the other threads ive read.



from what i heard it reallty helps alot.



ps: please dont mention MONEY because i'm willing to pay the 300.

If you're at an impass in life, then do it, go for it. Something on the resume always helps. Some people say it helps, others say it doesn't matter. However, it also depends on the jobs you'll apply to. Some places want it, some think you'll be overqualified.



That said, a friend of mine was laid off several years ago, took a bartending class, and ended up working at the Harvard Club. Excellent money, she paid all her bills off and made rent all while bartending there part-time since the tips were great.Should I go to bartending school?
I also live in the GTA and want to serve/bartend.

I DEFINITELY am going. If nothing else, most bartender courses come with the SmartServe certification which you will need anyway!

Just become a bar back which is a bartenders helper, you'll learn to mix drinks plus you'll get paid, Hands on training....Should I go to bartending school?
