What is a good bartending school?

I'm looking into going to bartending school %26amp; need to find one that will land me a job. Any information is welcomed. :)What is a good bartending school?
You don't need to go to bartending school to become a bartender. You just need to earn a safe server certification, in most locations. You can do that at any bartending school, without wasting your money on the full course.

What makes a good bartender isn't memorizing the recipes of a lot of gross sweet mixed drinks. And it definitely isn't "flair" - flipping bottles in the air and whatnot. What makes a good bartender is a combination of personality, which they can't teach, and practicing enough to get faster, better, and neater at doing the actual work, which you can only learn on the job.

To get your first bartending job, apply at all the local restaurants and bars. You may be considered for a position as a host or as a bar back, or even as a dishwasher. Then you work your way up. When you apply, let them know you want to be a bartender but you are willing to pay your dues first.

I got my first bartending job when I was 19. I had worked in cafes and sandwich shops before, as well as in retail. I was hired at that restaurant as a hostess. Then I was moved up to service bartender. Orders from tables came in. I made the drinks, then the servers took the drinks to the tables. I learned a lot at that job.

Since then, I have worked in lots of different kinds of restaurants and bars, doing lots of different things. Now I am a chef.

I used to know a girl who got a job at a nightclub beer bar without having been a bartender first. But she knew the club manager and that's how she got hired. Plus, all she was doing was opening bottles of beer. She didn't have to make drinks, pour or change taps, or even check IDs.

Good luck!
