I already wrote on this site today about how I need a 2nd job..a lot of places are unwilling to hire me because they know that I have a day job. Anyway, I was thinking about trying the bartending thing again(my experience is bare minimal), but I'm having a hard time finding job openings for bartenders with not much experience. I was thinking about attending a bartending school(takes 2 weekends to complete), b/c the school has access to job ads that do not make their ads public. My friend went there and she got 2 job offers before she finished schooling. Perhaps they could help me find something, and then the $450 tuition would more than pay off?
On the other hand, I'm worried b/c I heard that it is a "rip-off" and doesn't give you any real advantage. Last thing I want to do is spend $450 to go into debt and find no job again(that's how I felt about my college degree for a while after graduating). But then again, I haven't had luck finding any jobs over the 3months. What should I do?Bartending school...is it worth it?
In my experience, the best thing to do it get a job in a bar as a barback, and train there. Depending on how good you are, you can move up to bartender fairly quickly, and get all the experience you need without actually paying for it. I know lots of bartenders, and none of them went to bartending schoolBartending school...is it worth it?
no you can learn that at home barber college, clown college, tattoo college, all nonsense
