What are good bartending school in, or around, San Jose?

My cousin and I are interested in taking up Bartending as another job. So we were wondering if anyone had any advice on how to go about that, and if there are any good schools to go to. We both live in San Jose, so anywhere in or around San Jose would be ideal. Thanks! What are good bartending school in, or around, San Jose?
There are no good bartending schools. As a bartender for the last 15 years, I am here to tell you the best way to do it is to start off in either a club or build your way through a restaurant. If you go to bartending school you will have to be deprogrammed to what they teach you. Every bartender that I know from Birmingham to New Orleans learned and earned their way to that spot. Go to a restaurant, get a job serving, and ask the bartender a lot of questions. Get a bartending book and read your basic recipes then go for it.

Bartenders that come out of those schools are frowned upon by other bartenders. They never can handle a crowd because they are trying to do everything that the "school" taught them. Just a word of advice! Good luck!
